The Ripple Effect

I love synchronicity. I have learned to apply it when it shows up.

While doing a spirit guide channeling session for a client this week, we learned about the concept of lifting others up. That when you reach down to lift someone up, it begins a chain of events where someone else will reach out to another in the same manner, and on and on. This is similar to the concept I often speak of as the ripple effect. How we live our lives is like a pebble that is thrown in the water. Each deed causes a ripple which then ripples outward beyond our understanding or comprehension.

This guide spoke of the concept as being one that is not only beyond us, but also beyond this world - even this galaxy. The actions we take have implications on other beings outside of our dimensional understanding. We need to be responsible for reaching down to lift others up, and understand that this has a positive effect in the multidimensional galactic reality.....whatever and wherever that is. Wow! Talk about expanding our view, and being part of something much bigger than we usually think of as our circle of influence!! Take a minute to let that thought form sink in.

This instruction was given in the same discussion as the idea of Justice. What is justice? And who is the judge? The dictionary tells us that justice is the authority to uphold deserved reward or penalty based on what is just. Just is defined as being proper, correct, true and accurate. Seems to me that this requires a judge. But in spirituality, we strive to be non-judgmental. So then, how can justice be handed out???

Ahhh.... by simply offering the hand up to anyone who requires it, in the moment.

Here comes the part about synchronicity. After this particular session, I happened to see a television commercial. I don’t even know what network it was on, or what was being advertised. I only saw it this one time. It showed a person doing a selfless good deed in the moment, without thought, and then walking away. Another unrelated person observed this. That person was then moved to also do a selfless good deed in the next moment, and walk away. Again, another unrelated person observed this. And the ripple effect was begun. Someone in need was given assistance out of the non-judgmental and unselfish reaction of someone who noticed and then just did it because they had seen it done and been affected by that.

How often are these opportunities presented to us? How often have we said, I wish I had done something? Or said something? How far would acting have gone to improving our own heart's condition, the condition of another, and (wow, how crazy...) the condition of our galaxy and the beings outside of our frame of reference? Apparently, according to the spirit guide, this is profoundly important.

Another piece of synchronicity: Before these two events, I witnessed a depossession of a demonic entity from a man by one of my spiritual collegues. That in itself is not so unusual in my line of work. What was unusual was that this demon actually had redeeming qualities of light and was returned to the angelic realm from which he had fallen. A really good lesson in the non-judgmental assistance of others.

So, with these three synchronistic lessons fresh in view, I want to share with you an idea. This idea is that we are indeed part of something far bigger and grander than we can ever imagine. Spend some time trying to imagine it. This idea is also that we have the heart capacity to be available to do good in the world and lift others up without having to prepare, rehearse or think about it. Spend some time feeling that. This idea is also that we are never required or asked to be a judge. Never. The power of creation and the spirit that dwells within us is too amazing and too magical to ever be able to define or judge it properly. Spend some time knowing that .

Then make this your prayer/ mantra/ validation:

“I (NAME) stand in Creation as part of the circle that lifts others up as I have been, and will be lifted up because the spirit of the Creator dwells in me, and we are One in the wholeness of the Creator's unlimited universes. Thank you/ Amen/ And so it is. "

I learn a great deal from the children I interact with. Not just my own kids, but clients and sometimes child-like spirit guides. Occasionally I will include some of the nuggets I receive here, so you can also share in the wonderment of remembering the beauty, honesty and simplicity of a child-like perspective on life.

While reading the menu at a local Chinese restaurant with my five year old, he very casually stated to me, “Chinese is harder to read than Angel.” Somewhat taken aback by this casual remark about the language of the Angels, I asked him if he remembered reading “Angel.” “Of course, Mom. You know.” Which is what he says to me often when we have these kinds of conversations. It is also all he will say on the subject. He has identified some of the symbolic texts I work with in the course of my research and studies as “written by the angels.” He talks to angels that “live” in my office. And always he tells me that I, too, know.

If the language of the angels is simple, and we all know it, how best can we remember? In communing with our spirit is the answer. Our spirit guides help us. Our master teachers teach us. We are not here alone to figure it out ourselves, but are blessed with great assistance. Go back to a clear day. A day before you were born. You asked a question of the universe. How best can I live among all the many creatures that exist in this creation? The universe answered you then and does so now. With kindness. With clear intention. With a recognition that all are of the One and none shall be forgotten or left behind. With openness to feel the rhythm that connects all. And not disturb it. Quietly, carefully, sweetly. Then will none do harm to another and the tone will ring clearly through The Center of all things and back. And The Center will bring all that does not exist with the clear tone of remembering back into rhythm. Let it not be forgotten among you. Let the way of peace be your song of remembering justice.
