The Adventure of Life

I had my summer carefully planned out this year. With high expectations, I scheduled time off from work in order to accomplish carefully scheduled events. With the best of intentions, I waltzed into July. Life, of course, had a different idea about that. What I got was not a smooth, well-planned summer at all. What I got was an ADVENTURE.

Now, granted, I did know it would be a full and busy two months. I did know I would be traveling to Colorado. I did know I had one baby on the way to labor-assist. I did know I was moving. What I didn’t know was that I would be making two trips to Colorado, that there would be two babies to bring in, that both births would come at the most unexpected hours, amid piles of unpacked boxes, that my family would experience the loss of a loved one, and that moves never go the way you imagine them.

In short, I got another great reminder about how we create blocks to our own abundance by trying to direct and move against the forces of the Universe.

Interestingly enough, many of you had the same kind of summer. I was not alone in this energy pattern at all. In fact, I had more of you with Energetic Emergencies than usual, which means that my “closed” practice was actually pretty active! Nevertheless, many wonderful things happened for me and for many of you. Many projects came to completion after hard work and determination. Many new avenues for growth opened up that were unexpected and glorious. There was a lot of celebrating. For some examples, see “Community Spotlights”, below.

The Adventure of Life on Earth is a gift. We chose to come and experience the joy and the pain in order to grow our souls. How often do we forget that? How often do we want to blame others, and design our experiences to be something they are not? And then we curse God for forgetting us. When we looked at Earth from spirit source, and picked it for our experience, we didn’t always know how hard it could be, or how great. Our expectations got challenged. But it was still our choice. When we embody the idea that life does not have divine order, we create energy blocks, false beliefs, and illusions that become dysfunctional energy patterns that we carry from lifetime to lifetime. We get so caught up in the discomfort that we miss the joy in the adventure of it all, and our life lessons.

During our move my husband gave our four year old a globe that he had in his office. I watched him spin it around, running his fingers over the continents and oceans. I wondered what was going through his mind. He looked so serious and intent. I wondered if he would ask me where Arizona was. I stood quietly waiting. Suddenly he looked up at me and said, “Mom, where’s Disneyland?”

Where is Disneyland? Great question! At Disneyland, life is one great magical adventure. The rides are mostly really scary, some are downright dangerous ... but everyone gets in line over and over again. The food is overpriced, sweet, sticky and full of sugar and fat ... but everyone eats it and enjoys it. It’s crowded and hot most of the year. It’s expensive. Why do we go? For the experience. The same reason we come to Earth over and over again. It’s not always joyful here. It can be overcrowded and hot, and not overly nutritious. But it’s bright, and full of opportunity to explore thoughts and feelings, develop moral character, and have some fun, too.

My sense is that it is never quite what we imagine. We may pick it, and pick our life purpose and goals, but no one can ever predict how the package will be wrapped. Of course, we want life to be all smooth sailing, but it never is. Being too attached to the outcome of events is what derails us in our learning and growing. There is nothing wrong with plotting a course through life, or in my case, the summer. The lesson is to then allow spirit to accomplish the goals you set, whatever that looks like. And to see it as victory, not failure, when it looks completely different than you imagined.

I have heard it said, “Live like you are dying” or “Live each day as if it was your last.” I would instead hope to live each moment “Alive in the Awareness that I am Alive”, and in that framework be truly open and aware that the Creator is present in it each and every moment of my experience.

I received not one, but two wonderful trips to Colorado. The boxes did not get unpacked, but I got to see places I’ve never seen.

The floors were not done and I had to leave my house for two additional days. The boxes remained packed, but I got to lie by the pool.

My dear beloved Auntie passed into spirit and was buried on my birthday. The boxes still did not get unpacked, but I got to pray for her soul by a lily bush, deep in the desert. You heard me, a lily bush. I’ve never seen one in the desert before, or since. Amazing, this adventure.

Two babies arrived. I lost several nights of sleep. I got to weep at the beauty of life and be the first to kiss the tops of their newborn heads.
I wouldn’t trade that for boxes of anything.

I got to rejoice with some of you, cry with some of you, congratulate and comfort some of you, and slowly the boxes are being unpacked.
I wouldn’t trade you for boxes of anything.

I learned, again, that only the Creator knows how life will be delivered, and there is no right or wrong, only embracing the lessons, honoring others and ourselves, and being present in each moment, to truly be living our adventure.

My life is full of blessing. I came here for the adventure. I came here to taste it all, the joy and the pain, and grow my soul. I offer an invocation/prayer/meditation to all of us, to remind us of our choice to be here for the adventure, whatever that means, so we can let go of false beliefs and expectations, and embrace what the Universe brings uniquely to each one of us:

“I see myself as a Spiritual Being in a physical body, Divinely Created. I embody all of my unique Divine Codes and Soul Aspects. I allow all that blocks and restricts me from balanced health of body, mind and spirit to be released. I remain open to receive all-that-is as this Divine Alchemy occurs within me, past, present, future, and in all multidimensional aspects of time. And so it is.”

"On a recent trip I had the blessing and trial of spending some time with a dear old friend whom I seldom see. I was struck by the degree of negativity in her expressions and talked a little with her about the focus which I could see was resulting in her magnetizing and drawing forth more of the same. Her life has been bombarded with difficult people in recent years and she seems filled with hatred. I care for her deeply and wanted to offer a different perspective about how to bring about more positive energies into her world. I would have always said that she is a very enlightened being and clearly understands the power of attraction and knows that what we think about we bring about. Still, after some conversation she was unconvinced and became a bit angry with me. I stopped the discussion and changed the subject.

Some questions came up from our discussion :

1) Are there bodies walking around here now with no soul present?

  2) Are there brand new souls incarnating for the first time and if so, might they have no conscience at all and need to learn that in their first life-time? Then, as they go through more lifetimes, do they increase consciousness at each turn and never revert to a lifetime with decreased consciousness or awareness? Once a level of consciousness is attained, can one go back to a lifetime or place of decreased knowing/consciousness?

3) In the case of a sociopath - some psychologists say this is a mental illness with no cure. So, will the sociopath live his entire life with no hope of becoming conscious of others? Is there no value at all in sending loving, light, good and healing thoughts and energies to that person? Is it truly hopeless and no change can occur for that person?

To address your questions regarding your friend: (Abbreviated!!  I could talk on this all day!!)

New souls of course are constantly being created and coming into body. This is easily measurable in a soul session. They are usually pure of heart, loving & naive. Negativity comes from much experience with darkness, so newer souls are more connected to their essence as divinely created beings. The exception is if a soul is created from a negative thought form. This is a complicated process, and these souls are often unpredictable and savage.

Each soul that is born from Creator source developed a subconscious, conscious and higher consciousness as doorways to interpreting life lessons before they even got into a body. So we all have them. Some are more damaged than others, due to the choices we make, the energies we allow and whether we work to evolve or de-evolve our souls in each lifetime. 

Pathways can become our destiny, once crystallized. Therefore, working on behalf of others for soul healing, prayer, etc is always a gift to give. It may not be received, but that is not the point. When I work with particularly difficult cases where the healing energies are not well received, I always place them in a bubble of light to be held by spirit until they desire it and then I do not judge when that may be, I just trust spirit. They may or may not choose light. They may not choose this lifetime, but what of next lifetime? I know that today, I am alive and well because of the prayers of many for me when my life was particularly difficult. So, we offer the same to all others and release the need to know if and when it is accepted.

There are many souls earth bound that prey on others so there is a tremendous amount of soul-shifting, possession and shadowing that occurs which can cause one to change personality rapidly. This is most often the case in mental illness.  This is why rehab centers fail people. The entities remain attached and continue to create chaos for people who allow (unconsciously, of course) their attachments. With earthbound souls or entities, the subconscious, conscious and higher self can become separated because there is no body to hold it together. This is why most earthbound spirits, ghosts and poltergeists are mischievous. They have no sense of right or wrong, they just want their way. Most don't even realize they are dead.

Possessions can come from the earthbound spirits, or from a dark realm, that which we would call a demonic possession. These require the same binding that can be accomplished for earthbound spirits, and additionally a depossession. I have done many of these in my practice. The Catholic Church and various other spiritual traditions have methods for this, also, which are very effective.

In the case of your friend who is particularly negative, the rule of attraction does apply. Somewhere inside she is suffering greatly, and that is why she is attracting such negativity. It is the only possible evaluation. Because we live in free will, free choice, she would need to choose to change this for herself; to get back on a pathway that will evolve her soul. There can be many, many reasons for it, as you know, so I cannot say without working in her Akashic Record, exactly what it is. What I do know is that All is Possible. So, while she is not yet choosing light, you may send her light. Send it in a bubble to be held by her higher self and her spiritual committee until she desires it. Then, should she sincerely seek it, your prayers will bless her to find her way.

Alive

"Alive is the spark. It is the beginning. When you light the flame before the fire. It is instant. It is like turning on the light. It is that moment where consciousness enters form and there is a uniting that turns on the light and begins the spark. So it is a birth experience, and is not shut off, to leave the physical form. It is the beginning when consciousness first entered form and is repeated.

So, fear has come in, in the idea that each form begins and ends Alive, and not so. Alive began in the beginning and continues to the arc where again there will just be a transformation. So it is misinterpreted. Alive has no end. Alive and immortality being the same vibration, and few have taught this, but it is true and carried in the codes for humanity. This was the original consciousness when one was pulled from the consciousness pool, asking for the experience. Placed, and Alive, moving through many experiences and many forms. Always gathering information, always growing, always learning and moving towards the arc. Changing forms to add to the experience."
